Job Positions:
WEBMASTER
Lifeline Malawi (LM) is a registered Canadian charity that is dedicated to providing medical aid, without discrimination to the people of rural Malawi through community based medical services. Based in the organization’s head office in Calgary, Alberta, the Webmaster shall be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Lifeline Malawi website.
Reporting to the V. P. Canadian Operations, the Webmaster, shall require a good command over HTML, CSS and/or XML plus be competent using various web development applications, including various social media programs such as “Facebook”, “Twitter” , and “Flickr”.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the website database, ensuring relevant and current information is available
- Write and/or update website content
- Ensure the website links are working properly
- Perform marketing type functions such as creating banner advertisements for the website
- Assist with the effective use of various social media programs
- Control the security of the website
- Monitor the traffic for the website
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education and/or relevant work experience
- Interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Creativity and Self initiative
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Lifeline Malawi (LM) is a registered Canadian charity that is dedicated to providing medical aid, without discrimination to the people of rural Malawi through community based medical services. Based in the organization’s head office in Calgary, Alberta, the Executive Assistant shall be responsible for fulfilling the administrative needs of the Board of Directors as well as various Board Committees
Reporting to the V. P. Canadian Operations, the Executive Assistant, shall require advanced level of MS Office skills for the development of various documents that are required for the Board of Directors and Board Committees.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional support for the V.P. Canadian Operations in working with Board of Directors, Committees, donors, community groups and organizations
- Manage all preparations for Board and Committee Meetings, including:
- Prepare minutes for the Board of Directors and Committee meetings
- Coordinate special projects as assigned by the Board of Directors or Committees
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Board or Committee related events
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education and/or relevant work experience
- Interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Creativity and Self initiative
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven computer and software use skills especially MS Office
- Experience supporting the Board of Directors and Committees in a non profit organization
